On 16th September 2015, iBosses was invited by CNBC Asia to be featured on The Rundown. The Rundown features the latest stock market news and information around the world.

This is a very important milestone which iBosses has achieved, especially when iBosses is moving towards listing in Australian Exchange Board. Dr Patrick Khor explains in the program on why iBosses is moving towards getting itself listed in Australia, and how does it helps iBosses in the expansion and development.

iBosses IPO Roadshow at Phillip Capital Investment Centre

On 25th August 2015 and 5th September 2015, iBosses held 2 IPO Roadshow at Phillip Capital Investment Centre. This is the opportunity where potential investors meet up with iBosses to know more about the current progress, future plans and potentials in joining the IPO journey with iBosses.


During the roadshow, Dr Patrick Khor and Mr Kingsley Peh shares with the investors on the current progress and the reason for moving on towards IPO. The investors also get to meet up with our non-executive director, Mr Steven Lau, to know more on the prospects of undergoing the IPO journey with iBosses. Investors also get to meet our staffs to have a better idea in making their investments with iBosses for the future development.

Youth Entrepreneurship Symposium (YES) 2015 at The National University of Singapore (NUS)

Dr Patrick Khor has been invited to be the keynote speaker at the prestigious annual symposium organized by the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) nEbO Club. YES 2015 is a 3-day symposium, from 17 – 19 June, providing young aspiring entrepreneurs with 3 Gateways to establish own startup: Get Inspired, Get Skilled and Get Started. Dr Khor will be sharing his story and more about iBosses to over 450 students at the NUS Lecture Theatre 11, Faculty of Art and Social Sciences.

Mr Kingsley Peh was also involved in the symposium as a mentor (18 June) and judge (19 June) for the YES Entrepreneur & Startup pitching competition. Contestants will propose their business ideas and receive mentorship, guidance, advice and valuable tips before their final presentation on 19 June 2015.

Last but not least, Dr Patrick Khor and Mr Kingsley Peh have been requested to attend the YES networking dinner session on 19 June 2015 at the NUS Business School. The networking session provides the guests an good opportunity to know more about iBosses and how iBosses can  work for them.

iBosses Singapore Conference 2015

Held on 6th June 2015, the iBosses Singapore Conference drew nearly 100 aspiring entrepreneurs from all walks of life. Teachers, office workers, taxi drivers, students, retirees and even seasoned entrepreneurs attended the event to learn more about how iBosses can aid them on their entrepreneurial journey. Attendees also interacted personally with Dr Patrick Khor and Mr Kingsley Peh, two very successful and experienced iBosses entrepreneurs, to hear more about their success stories and gain valuable insights.

The iBosses Part-Time Startup Programme was officially launched in Singapore during the conference. This practical, adaptable and affordable programme received an overwhelmingly positive response from the attendees and many of them signed up during the event itself. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude towards all attendees for their generous support! iBosses looks forward to training and supporting more of your startups towards ultimate success!


iBosses in HKTDC Entrepreneur Day on 29 & 30 May 2015

Organized by Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), HKTDC Entrepreneur Day is an event for all aspiring entrepreneurs or anyone who is interested in entrepreneurship in Hong Kong. Participants not only met the iBosses team members from Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia in person to understand how iBosses can help them in their startups, they also got to meet our very own successful entrepreneurs mentored by iBosses and learn more about their journey!

Through this event, the much anticipated iBosses Part-Time Startup Programme was officially launched in Hong Kong, paving the way for its subsequent launches in iBosses Centres around the globe. The programme was well-received by the members of the public in Hong Kong and inspired many of them to start a business of their very own with the aid of iBosses. Mr Kingsley Peh, a renowned entrepreneur from Singapore, was also present at the event to share his experiences and how he can help entrepreneurs-to-be on their route to success.


Invitation for iBosses Seminars in Hong Kong 2015

Dr Patrick Khor and Mr Kingsley Peh from iBosses were privileged to be invited as Keynote speakers for the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, also known as HKUST for the esteemed event: ‘Turn Your Passion Into Success – Insights and Technical Know-how on Entrepreneurship’ E-Week@HKUST Entrepreneurship Centre in March 2015. iBosses was also requested to conduct a similar conference to the Student Affairs Office at the Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIED) in March 2015, on the topic of Entrepreneurship Training, ‘Turn Your Passion Into Success’.

These events have provided the students from the two prominent institutions with a propitious opportunity to gain a deeper understanding about Generation Y entrepreneurship, and valuable insights from both Dr Khor and Mr Peh from the sharing of their personal entrepreneurship experiences.

Global Social Innovator’s Forum 2014

iBosses was invited to be the judge and mentor in the Global Social Innovator’s Forum 2014, organized by Social Innovator’s Park (SIP). Participants in the forum are required to come up with a feasible social enterprise business plan, which will then be presented to and evaluated by judges. If a proposal is well-received, the judges will voluntarily approach and offer a one year mentorship programme with the aspiring and promising entrepreneur.

iBosses was honoured to be one of the judges, together with Mr Benny Se-Teo, social entrepreneur for Eighteen Chefs, and Ms Penny Low, businesswoman and Member of Parliament for Pasir-Ris Punggol Group Representation Constituency. This event has been a fruitful and enjoyable one for iBosses, and we have gladly chosen 4 participants to be our mentees for a year.

iBosses Conference Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 2014

iBosses organized a conference and book launch for ‘iBosses: The Rise of Gen Y Entrepreneurs’ at the YES Academy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Dec 2014. Participants who attended the conference had the wonderful opportunity to network with young entrepreneurs from Malaysia and exchange views with their overseas counterparts.

Participants received a personal address from Dr Patrick Khor, author of the book and Group CEO of iBosses, on the characteristics of Gen Y entrepreneurs, such as how their thoughts differ from older generations and the resultant transformation brought forth in this era. Young entrepreneurs who attended the conference had the chance to interact with the experienced speakers on a personal level and gathered their insights from their own entrepreneurial journey.

iBosses Conference Hong Kong 2014

They are filled with vigor, courage and passion to turn their dreams into reality. These are just a few of the characteristics that we have observed about the group of young entrepreneurs from Hong Kong who presented their ambitious business ideas to us.

Entrepreneurs from various regions of Hong Kong gathered together in the iBosses Hong Kong Conference on 12th December, 2014. They seized the opportunity to meet and hear the views of other entrepreneurs, learning more about the new business areas that are growing in Hong Kong. However, the participants not only gained knowledge during the conference, they also forged new friendships and collaborated with like-minded entrepreneurs soon after.

Entrepreneurship Training at the National University of Singapore(NUS) by Dr Patrick Khor

People venture into entrepreneurism due to many reasons, but mainly because they have discovered a void in the market and sense potential and demand to fill that void.

Approximately 300 Business School Students from the National University of Singapore have signed up for an Entrepreneurship Training course with iBosses. Throughout the duration of the course, students will learn the fundamental knowledge pertaining to entrepreneurship, followed by the brainstorming of business ideas and topics with their teammates. For example, the business layouts, practicality of plans and the strategies and techniques effective in securing a market for the success of their products and services.

The course will wrap up with a final presentation from the student teams, who would have devised and experimented with various business models before finally deciding on the one with the most potential to succeed.

Guest Speaker for Ngee Ann Kongsi and University of Adelaide

iBosses was invited by Ngee Ann Kongsi and the University of Adelaide as a guest speaker in The Bachelor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Course. This presented iBosses with a prestigious foreign platform to share their analyses and evaluation on the subject of innovation and entrepreneurship with students from all around the world.

The presentation gave students the fortuity to acquaint with techniques to integrate innovation into entrepreneurship. Students also learnt more about the importance of entrepreneurship and the crucial role it plays in today’s vibrant economy.

Invitation for iBosses Visit in Hangzhou, China

iBosses was requested by the Hangzhou Government to visit the Hangzhou Technology and Entrepreneurship Park to gain a deeper understanding of their culture, infrastructure and entrepreneurial development efforts.

We were delighted and most honored to be hosted personally by the party secretary, Mr Fan Yong Chen, who encouraged and supported iBosses to meet and network with the local enterprises. In addition, the Hangzhou Government also provided us with links to seek venture funds, and valuable opportunities to familiarize ourselves with established enterprises and startups in the region.

iBosses Conference Cambodia 2014

iBosses received an offer to conduct a book launch and presentation for their new book, ‘iBosses: The Rise of Gen Y Entrepreneurs – The Momentum Behind the New Age of Entrepreneurs’ at University of Cambodia.

In his presentation, Dr Khor, the author of the book and Group CEO of iBosses, highlighted some of his research findings which explore the distinct characteristics and behavior of Gen Y entrepreneurs. Using the 1H3W Theories:

1) Economists-based Theories (What) of economists,

2) Individual-based Theories (Why and Who) of behavioral specialists

3) Process-based Theories (How) does the entrepreneur proceed,

he explained, in detail, the traits and characteristics of Gen Y Entrepreneurs and how they could and would revolutionize global markets for the better. This event gave students from Cambodia a golden opportunity to learn more about being an entrepreneur and develop the field of entrepreneurism in their home country.

iBosses Entrepreneurship Training Programme @Temasek Polytechnic (TP)

Since its initial launch, iBosses has been working closely with partnering institutions to organize talks, seminars and events.The Entrepreneurship Seminar – ‘Celebrating Gen Y Entrepreneurs’ which was held on 19th November 2014 at Temasek Polytechnic, is a key example of an iBosses-TP partnership event.

Dr Patrick Khor, the invited guest of the event, shared his experience and analysis of the characteristics of Gen Y entrepreneurs with over 300 students and staff members from TP. Accompanying him were 4 Gen Y entrepreneur guest speakers who shared their views on what it takes to be a Gen Y entrepreneur. The Q&A session held at the end of the session gave the students an opportunity to gain valuable and informative tips for venturing into entrepreneurship in the near future.

Company & Book Launch Event For iBosses: The Rise Of Gen Y Entrepreneurs 18 October 2014

‘Generation Y entrepreneurs are generally different in their characteristics when starting up their own businesses compared to Generation X entrepreneurs. Why is that so?’

This was one of the questions answered during the grand launch for our company ‘iBosses’ and its publication ‘iBosses: The Rise of Gen Y Entrepreneurs’ on 18th Oct 14. Invited guests could network with each other at the launch held at the Singapore Swimming Club, where they shared their experiences in entrepreneurship processes.

During the launch, Dr Patrick Khor, the CEO of iBosses Pte. Ltd. and author of the book, also shared his personal experiences and research results accumulated over the years. Guests had the opportunity to exchange views about entrepreneurship with him, taking away useful advice and insights about Youth entrepreneurship.
