iBosses: The Rise of Gen Y Entrepreneurs – The Momentum Behind the New Age of Entrepreneurs
Foreword by Dr Patrick Khor:
Entrepreneurs play a vital role in the growth of an economy, particularly in a developing market such as Singapore. There has been limited research and information on the influences and factors that prompts an individual towards entering entrepreneurship within the Singaporean context. There have also been limited studies on the relationship of generation theory and entrepreneurship. Many researchers have suggested the existence of differences between generational cohorts (Brown et al., 2007).
First, let us define the word “generation.” The definition has remained elusive across the decades. Generational cohorts may perhaps span a period of up to 20 years, where each generation is identified by the year they were born and based on the fact that the members of each generation have different outlooks and intentions due to different life experiences.
